Business major at USD vs Economics at UCSD? Same $$. I am having a hard time deciding--they are soo different...I like each for different reasons. HELP!

This is so simple: UCSD!

the atmosphere of the two campuses couldn't be more different. you should know what you want of your four-ish years here. academics are comparable, but that's about it.

jasonlee---how can you not even hesitate? why so sure UCSD?

When it comes down to 2 school, go visit both of them. They both have two completely different atmosphere. I hear UC Davis has more friendly, and spirited people, while I also hear that UCSD is "socially dead". I don't know if UCSD is "socially dead", but that's up to you to decide when you visit both colleges.

In terms of academics, I don't know, I'm geared towards the sciences.

astrina--thanks--hard to believe I can be this far into the process and still not sure what I want! I wanted USC or UCLA--didn't happen. So now, USD or UCSD...actually LMU and UCD an be added too! I think I will be happy at whatever I chose--I liked all when I visited....thinking the business major and getting classes easier at the smaller schools may be nice. Thanks for the discussion!

If you think that you want to go into finance, accounting, IT, or something similar, I would choose USD (if $$ isn't a big issue). If you're just looking at general "business," then I would choose UCSD.

Both school are very different though- size, student demographics, $$, religious affiliation, campus.

USD is the school of morons who couldn't get accepted to UCSD/out of staters that want an easy way in to cali. UCSD has better programs across the board, better name recognition, better campus, better funding.

I definitely would not call USD students "morons," but yes, UCSD has better programs overall.

We visited UCSD on Sunday and all I can say is the weather was heavenly. Deep breathing, glad to be alive, ahhhh, weather!
