By due date do you mean the deadline for admitting people from the waitlist? How did you hear about that?
@Needtobreathe I think that the deadline depends on when you receive the application. So like if you received the acceptance today, then you have an extra day to SIR compared to the people who received it yesterday.

That’s only the deadline for certain people. They give you three full days to accept their offer which means if the deadline for someone is May 8, they were accepted yesterday. It isn’t for everyone.
@phatfat I’m a transfer as well on the waitlist. I believe UCSD does wait until June 1st, since that is SIR deadline date for their already admitted transfer students; after that date they will have an even better idea of which transfer students they will let in off of the waitlist. But they could make some decisions before then, too, depending on how many students decline or withdraw their SIR. But June 1 - 30 is the main window.

What’s your major, if it’s okay to ask. I’m computer science major, and have 3.9 gpa…got accepted by UCI,UCD. Very sad when i knew UCSD put me in the wait list, since it has always been my dream school. Well, we still have chance!
Can’t wait to see my decision either. I used to die for UCSD ever since I started my UC app, but now it’s like nearing June and I already have a change of plans in mind. I’m going to a CCC instead… just wayyy cheaper overall. Would be pretty cool to see the good news though. If I DO get off the wait-list, I’ll take a screenie, print it and frame it on my wall.
@tuloob8 Please DO NOT do this if you do not plan to attend UCSD at all. You would be taking a spot that other people that would like to attend UCSD this coming fall would love to have.
Does UCSD plan on releasing transfer decisions around the same time as freshmen for the waitlist or does it come much later?
So I called and they said it depends on rounds… Yesterday was the first round so if we didn’t get yesterday then means we’re lower waitlist. Now it’s based rolling admissions to see people accept…
To be honest this waiting is getting kind of old and I’m already giving up hope lol :-w
