@chloesalem damn congrats, I was offered math-cs.
I was accepted! Comms major! I had withdrew from some courses this spring semester and was wondering if any of you know if it will affect my chances of keeping my admission?
@Tracedg: If you UCSD admitted you off the waitlist based on your Spring courses, then you definitely need to contact admissions to make sure you acceptance stands.
Haven’t seen anyone get off the waitlist for any ECE majors at all… could be a good thing or they could have already filled the spots they needed, but im still hopefull.
@Arandomname idk ab UCSD but i SIR-ed to UC Davis few days ago and the requirement for Spring is that you have to get at least a B grade for those classes related to CS major. In your case you have to get at least a B for any Math or Physics classes as a CS major. I am not sure about UCSD though. Hopefully its not the same.
@tacoturnup I already SIR-ed to Davis as a backup plan because they gave me lots of money. I dont have to pay anything including dorms and till have some extra cash in the pocket. The decision may come around July which is too late TBH

@ucsdesketit I got in off the waitlist as an English literature major and changed it to global health.
Did you just receive the admission today? I applied for Literature of the World and i’m still waitlisted , it’s killing me at this point!
@UniCoIn Oh cool global health is my alt major! Primary being gen bio. By any chance do you know what were the provisional conditions were for that major?

@Kimh1724 I got off the waitlist on June 7th with the huge drop and I had 5 days to decide my sir. I ended up commiting to UCSD.
@ucsdesketit hi so my initial major that I was accepted with was literatures in English, and prior to accepting your admittance spot you can change it to a non capped major which I did to global health. Not sure what specific conditions are but you have to maintain a C in progress courses to transfer and have a 3.0 gpa. I think that’s what you’re asking.
@kristinpete my daughter waiting on waitlist and her major is Public Health science and alternative is Human bio.

My dtr is 4.0 UW and 4.27 W. SAT 1460. stil waiting for 2-3 AP test score exam she took in May.
She denied UCD and SIR to UCR. She is set on going UCR but if she gets off UCSD she will go UCSD.
@kristinpete transfer admittance and freshman admittance are different you should check on their thread.
@happyrn: @kristinpete is a transfer student so her stats would not help your daughters situation.
