So I was taken off of my appeal and placed in the waitlist. Does anyone know if ucsd ranks their waitlisted students either academically, demographically, or time placed in the waitlist or at all? I doubt that coming straight out of an appeal due to an error in the uc app would lower my chances or making it out of the waitlist, but curious to know what anyone else thinks. Thanks
They’re very opaque about it. All they say is it’s not based off of what time you accepted/got put on the waitlist. I think they said they have a separate review of the waitlisted applicants.
