I was accepted to Thurgood Marshall college as a Cognitive Science major which was my second choice. Happy that I got in and really wish I could attend as I visited and loved the school, but I committed to A&M and got into the honors program so it’s pretty much set in stone. The fact that I can legitimately call myself a prospective Triton now is a damn good feeling, though.
Got into Marshall College with my first choice major! Not sure if I got in through waitlist or appeal… Good luck to you guys-- I hope you get in

I hope there is another round but as right now, I just gotta accept my fate and the college I’m going to. Sure, I’m sad but everything happens for a reason. me+ucsd are not meant to be together unfortunately. This is like the infamous march 11th all over again, everyone’s getting a decision but me ;( Congrats to y’all tho u deserve it
I got in! Undeclared at Marshall. Not exactly what I wanted but better than nothing.
Quick questions though for anybody. How hard is it getting into Comp Sci? Is it doable? That was my intended major. Also if anybody has happened to look there, how does UCSD compare to UMD College Park. As of now I am enrolled in the comp sci program there, but with this news I am having a tough time making a decision. I know they are both pretty comparable, but I feel like the location of UMD, being so close to DC, and with the new comp sci and engineering buildings it is really drawing me in. On top of that, I know the social life there is good whereas some say UCSD is pretty dead.
Anyways, congrats to all those who were admitted!
@Suirad comp sci is considered a capped major (https://students.ucsd.edu/academics/advising/majors-minors/capped-majors.html) so i’m assuming it would be difficult to transfer into.
Hi Guys! i just recently got into Marshall for Int. Business and I was wondering if we are guaranteed housing?!?
@Suirad literally everyone and their mother asks this about UCSD (trust me I was one of them) and the simple and truthful answer is it’s ridiculously competitive, and your only way to really guarantee getting in to CS as a transfer from another major is making straight As.
Damn I still got nothing. I regret applying as comp sci and comp eng. Well UIUC here I come
