Hi, I just got accepted to UCSD on the waiting list, but i have a problem, While i was on the SD waitlist, i didn't know if they would accept me or not, so i decided to accept UCSB offer. My question is it possible to submit a SIR to SD, when i already submitted one to SB?

P.S. I am a transfer student

yes it is, withdraw your sir from ucsb and sir to ucsd

So that means if i submit my sir to ucsd right now, i will get a withdraw from both school?

When did you opt into te waitlist? Im in the exact situation as you but I opted in almost on the last day the waitlist was open.

You don’t “get a withdraw,” you need to do the action to withdraw the first SIR you submitted to UCSB by going through the portal and canceling your SIR or by calling/emailing admission. If you SIR to two schools at once it can compromise your admission to both of them. So if you change your mind, which you’re allowed to do, you just need to make sure you withdraw your admission from your first choice before you SIR to the second one.

if you get accepted or already got accepted from the waitlist you can SIR to UCSD right away and then cancel your SIR with UCSB. Waitlisted students get the opportunity to do that. If i were you, I would call the UCSD admission office first to make sure that your admission with UCSD is all secured and there aren’t any problem with your application that might keep you from getting admit. they will even guide you with your problem.

hey @kk93185, do you mind me asking you what is your gpa and major? are you a 2nd or a 3rd year transfer?
