Btw, drove down to The Village again today in hopes of moving in annnnnnd I’m 0/2.

Graduation was today so not only was it just as cluster****ed as yesterday with all the Village people scrambling to get out, but it was 10x worse with all the graduation traffic. UCSD screwed this up. They didn’t reserve any of the street parking for people moving IN, only OUT. There’s no way in hell anyone could have moved in today, and yesterday it wasn’t all that much better.

Oh man, that reminds me. One of the reasons I picked UCSD over UCLA was because of the god awful. People ask you to call them if you go somewhere so that they could park in your spot.

I just heard from a friend, who got his room assign call today, that there’s no more singles! Apparently village east is filled with continuing transfer students and village west is for new transfer students. This sucks. I was hoping for a single but I guess ill have to deal with a double when they call me for the room assign.

Damn I really wanted a doubles at village east. Are u guys planning to get one that’s really high up or just live on the bottem. I selected upper floors and view for my survey. Does the survey really do anything when they call you?

Hey guys, I just got my call for room selection and I was able to get a single in the Village East! I was shocked considering previous posters had indicated that singles were gone. The lady I spoke to did say that there were limited singles remaining, but there is still hope for some of you.

Well I finally moved in today. Word of advice to those in the SD area: DO NOT MOVE IN THE WEEKEND THEY TELL YOU TO. Get your key, but move in Monday or whatever. I cannot begin to tell you how much of a cluster**** it was Friday/Saturday. Granted, it was graduation Saturday, but even Friday it was a zoo.

And I spoke with front office when I borrowed a cart today. The guy I spoke to said there are still singles for incoming students left, just not very many. He didn’t elaborate.

I did not sign up for substance free housing. And yeah, the lady i spoke to said the same thing to me. There are singles left, just a very limited number.

If they call me and say there are no singles available, that at least makes my decision super easy for the fall. Either way, I’ll have fun there during the summer.

Just called, woot I was very worried. First my payment didn’t got through last week cause account number was wrong. Then they had the wrong number I think so I didn’t get to talk to them until just now, but I they had a couple singles left in the substance free house. I don’t know about where else but woot woot. I don’t really drink and I hate smoking so that it was an easy choice. Only issue is that there is only one toilet/shower but they are separated.

To those of you who already got your room assignments, when did you submit your contract? I submitted my contract almost 2 hours after they sent me an email so I’m trying to figure out where I am in line in terms of getting a phone call…I WANT A SINGLE SO BADLY.

Wow it seems like most of you did yours really early. I had no idea my email account was already setup so I wasn’t able to finish the contract until yesterday when I found out by a random check. What buildings should i be looking out for to get an ocean view? Also, what kind of details should i have ready for when they call me?
