Yeah there’s no way I could deal with a girl as a roommate. Especially not with one bathroom.

Wooow, I certainly arrived late to the party.

I got my room selection call about a week ago but spending 3 months in Germany on an internship makes it hard to be reached. the skype call back happened so fast…didn’t catch everything I know for sure that I got a room in Village West, on the seventh floor, with a view. It’s also a double, but I don’t think I will mind this. I’ve had a room to myself my whole life but I am mighty flexible so I’m excited to see how I will deal with living with another person.

Cheers from Hamburg.

Whats worse: a) Getting placed into a double at The Village or b) Getting placed into a single somewhere that’s not The village?

I would much rather be on campus. I doubt they will care that you are 23 let alone know unless you tell them.

I’d still be on campus, but just not in the village. I might get thrown into one of the dorms.

I care about being placed in a double because I have type 1 diabetes and frankly it can be quite embarrassing to have to deal with that in front of others. Nobody wants to watch someone stab themselves with needles all day. Don’t really care about the age so much. Also, I’m the type of person who needs a place to be alone. Sharing my room will not work.

ALL IS WELL!!! They found me a single. I’ll be in 4202.

See ya on Sunday!!

So how much would someone be missing if they can’t make any of the summer events?

I’m also confused as to how some of you guys are able to register for summer school classes (at least I think that’s what it is)…I read new transfer students could only register for the Fall. I guess you are continuing transfer students or…?

I’m a new incoming transfer student. Anyone can take summer session classes at any UC. Check here if you’d like to get in on it: [How to Enroll and Register](http://summersession.ucsd.edu/enroll-register.shtml)

But you’re really not missing much by not doing Summer. I was missing one prereq so I’m getting that done so I’ll be on track for Fall, plus I’d go crazy if I had to get through three more months of no school.

Going to pick up my ID card right now.

@Anacondrea hmmm it sure would have been nice to have known this some time ago…I could have sworn I read that or heard it someplace that new transfer students start in the Fall. I did sort of drop the ball though; I am missing a lot of math classes (Anthro with Bio concentration)…I am supposed to be (re)teaching myself trig/precalc and stats for the placement test but that is not happening.

@DethFromAbove I’m sorry you misunderstood the rules. It’s not too late to register for Summer Session 2 if you still would like to do that.

In the mean time, get caught up with math! These videos really helped me, maybe they can help you too: [Khan Academy](http://www.khanacademy.org/)

Wow I have to somehow blow through $1,191 in dining dollars this summer haha.

To all incoming summer Village peeps: GET YOUR ID CARDS ASAP. Everything depends on it.

god damn…ballin haha

is that nice cafe in east open already?

Haha yeah but it’s only open from like 11-3 or something ridiculous. The market is open from 7-10 though, which is good.

I heard there was a bar on campus. That’s exciting.

There is. Porters. But it’s beer-only and I hate beer.

Aww wack. I hate beer too. Oh well, looks like it’s Village drinking for us then.

Haha well I’ve got that covered. I have two fifths of Goose, a fifth of some tequila that’s supposedly good, some Malibu, a blender and a bunch of mixers haha.

Well I won’t be moving in until Sept 10, opting for the earlier date so I can get adjusted to the campus before Fall quarter begins.

5th floor building 3, Village East. Hope you choose to continue on there this fall.

We’ll see how it goes. My roommates are OK, but one is gone and the other is one of those uber-nerds who plays video games 6 hours a day. I’m 50/50 on it but we’ll see how it goes through the rest of the summer. We’re both in building 3, I’m just 2 floors below you in the fall. I just want someone who chills, has some drinks and watches football or something haha. Or someone who plays basketball/soccer… something other than friggin video games!
