Penn State - got in, not to University Park
James Madison University

Rider - got in

feel free to comment them all! please, be as honest as possible !

I'm not an expert here, but here's my opinion... your SAT's and GPA are a little boarderline for Delaware based on other stats of applicants i have read. Definitely low for the honors program and merit aid (though i don't know if you were trying to get that). That being said, every year is different based on the total applicant pool available. Just so you are aware, Delaware is one of the last schools you will hear from, as they have no early action or rolling decisions. Last year the decisions went out mid March, and I believe that is when they usually do go out. This includes the honors decisions as well as the scholarship offers. You can check with the admissions office re: the dates. I don't know much about most of the other schools you applied to in terms of your chances other than Penn State who you already heard from. My son is a Freshman at Delaware and absolutely loves it! Good luck to you, and be patient...

when did you hear from rutgers? haha i really want to go there i applied in september

and i think you have a decent chance at udel if you got into rutgers. the stats are basically the same to get in but the only thing against you is out of state (im guessing because you already heard from ru and rider ? )

yeah i am from NJ. i applied to both in the very beginning of october, and i heard from rider right before thanksgiving and i heard from rutgers about 2 weeks ago, but responses vary.

Honestly, it could go either way. Being male helps, being from Jersey well sorry 'bout that (jk). Your academics are kind of borderline, but your APs and ECs are positive. Good luck!

i applied to some of those schools last year. i had a 3.3/4.2 and 1830 SATs, great ECs
i got into UD out of state
rejected from UMD instate and UVa

I don't think that an 88 is a 3.5-3.6 gpa, I believe it's closer to being around a 3.3. I think you have a good shot at Delaware, as I would consider their admissions similar to Rutgers and you got in there.
