Hi, I want your opinion on my chance of being accepted to Udub.
I’m an immigrant from Vietnam, and I’ll establish my Washington resident next July. Udub is my best and only choice since UW doesn’t require letters of recommendation and SAT 2, plus my parents could not really afford out of state tuition.
I took a gap year, which could make me less competitive.
My SAT score: 2080 (will retake it 12/5)
Gpa: 8.2/10 (my school is one of the top schools of our city) Should I convert my gpa to a 4 scale? If I do that, it will be around 3.28
Third place in an english competition (about 6000 participants)
Bronze medal in 30/4 Olympic contest
First place in the contest for gifted student in the city (the translation is odd, I know)
Lawrence S.Ting scholarship for outstanding academic performance.
Tutoring for Youth Tutoring Program 4 hrs/ week, will be 2 months at the application deadline.
I know that my chance is really low, but I’m still holding out hope
