Who are you rooting for? My British family and a bunch of our expat friends are super excited. Go England! I’m sure Italy has its supporters too out there in CC Land.
May the best team win!

Just hoping we get an entertaining game not decided by penalties (or a penalty). I’m rooting for 4-3 in extra time
We have a big group of Red Devil fan friends, so our friend’s bar will be decked out in support of England today. I don’t have a dog in this fight, but hoping for a close, exciting match.
Come come, don’t be coy! England or Italy?
Cannot wait! We’ve watched most of the games in the run up to the final.
I drivemy 21 year old son mad because I am a fickle fan, usually rooting for the best team. And I love the way Italy plays! Such creativity and flair. I think they are the stronger team.
That said, my son’s persuaded me to root for England. They are good, too, and after 50+ years, it’s time.
Do you think they all had some extra drama classes before today?
England! Though Italy has been scrappy and very fun to watch.
It is fun to see that video along with how they look now 25 years later (with a 79 year old Geoff Hurst dancing alongside them):

This is a good history of the song from NPR: David Baddiel On England's Soccer Anthem : NPR
For those not familiar with the history, the song was written for Euro 1996, where England lost to Germany on penalties in the semi-final, with the critical penalty missed by their current manager Gareth Southgate. So if today’s match goes to penalties that would be ironic, but would cause even more angst than normal.
I’m rooting for England.
It will likely not surprise any of you that I’ve watched some/all of nearly all of 50 games played so far .
Woo-hoo! Two minutes in! GO ENGLAND!
We are a family in conflict. Spouse is all in for Italy eating pizza. I just spilled my fish and chips in celebration.
Three LIONS!!
yeah England as well for me. It’s about time they won something
Line of the day just now from ROTC “other daughter” on that dramatic performance: “be sure to tell my mom I love her”
Freaking out now.
Nail bitter, so many missed opportunities
The Italian player just pulled that guy’s shirt to take the yellow card.
Heart attacks all round!
Penalties
Did he just say “talk about having some stones”?
