Oh well, I guess I’ll just go with it. At least I’m in state
So I’ve gotten a Gatorlink email, financial aid email, Florida Days email, Preview email, UFl outlook email, and finally today I got my acceptance packet in the mail. It comes with a little gator magnet that says “#UF21” so that’s pretty neat.
My boyfriend got accepted for Summer B and not Fall and has yet to receive a financial aid email, Florida Days email, or Preview email so it might have something to do with the term you were admitted to, not where you live. But as for the acceptance packets, snail mail is snail mail.
On a separate note, is anyone requesting a term change and trying to also register for preview? You can only register under your current admitted term and term changes don’t come out until May (if you’re doing Summer to Fall). I emailed today and was told that they’ll actually start letting some of the people who asked to switch (Fall to Summer) know about the status of their term requests in early March.
We found the Gatorlink email in her spam folder. But unfortunately the link is now expired so we need to get a new one from the helpdesk@ufl.edu
Lived in Florida all my life. Homeschooled all my life except for the last two years. Am a florida NMF. But because my online high school is based in California they say I’m not eligible for bright futures or benacquisto scholarships. My Dad has lived here in florida and paid taxes to a school system I never went to and it’s a bunch of nonsense. No financial help and my father is only income less than 60,000$ a year. Unbelieveable.
hello! i am from oos, and i was wondering if all the oos scholarships have been given out yet for sure? i dont want to be hopelessly waiting for a few more weeks when in reality, i just didn’t get any more money.
Just want to reiterate that I a thankful to be accepted, but I worked hard to get those grades and scores and thought it would also keep my parents from having to feel the squeeze.
@mintymayo unfortunately yes. All the scholarships were given out.
Wow, Snicks, that just seems so WRONG. I understand they don’t want to give Bright Futures to non-Florida residents, but the “online California” thing seems like a major technicality that shouldn’t disqualify you. You’re tax-paying residents, and you were in Florida for your high school career. Why should the headquarters of an online company matter?
I’d be tempted to contact your congressperson and plead your case.
@Trisherella It is very frustrating. Still very happy I’ve been accepted. Love U. of Fla., but never saw this coming. Still working on it. Thanks.
@snicks1234 Did you get a grant?
Got an email about the Machen Family Opportunity scholarship
How are we supposed to search for roommates? I’m looking for one, but I don’t know where to start.

Out of curiosity, are students allowed to appeal their UF honors decision if they feel that they were unfairly rejected?
@lhw1998 They make it pretty clear that decisions are final. Plus, how would you know if you were unfairly rejected?
