I had applied as a 2013 spring transfer for accounting and I thought I would be a shoe-in, because I had finished with a 4.0. I also had just recently finished high school in June of 2012. Sadly, I was rejected and I just accepted admission into the Finance major. (I was never 100% sure on accounting anyways) I was told that accounting usually has very limited space for transfers.

Oh wow… did you also apply for Finance or did they suggest you do Finance?

I really want to do accounting as it really interests me a lot. Unfortunately I have a 3.5 GPA. My GPA at Santa Fe right now is a 4.0. I took dual enrollment classes in high school and messed up my college GPA already before I even started college.

I also graduated from high school in June 2012.

I assume you must have took dual enrollment and passed a lot of AP for college credit if you applied to transfer in Spring 2013 when you finished high school in June?

I’m not sure if I have a chance at accounting anymore… sad to hear it’s low transfer rate to the accounting program.

A in financial accounting
Currently in managerial accounting
