Wow! Your school is out on the 11th for the UF notifications or because of another reason?

Thanks for posting – this is great!! It’s kind of sad that I will pass time by just sitting here watching it haha.

haha not because of UF admissions notifications, but because we have Florida State Fair Day off on the 11th.

Oh okay that’s cool, your lucky. Keep yourself busy that day so you wont have to focus on checking your status at 6:01pm.
Regina that’s is sad lol, but I’m sure it will pay off once your admitted. Good luck!

Bump for awesomeness.

12 days, 18 hours, and 54 minutes.

…but who’s counting? ;)

1 week and 4 days:) You guys are making me nervous with the countdown. But I’m sure this week will go by fast:) I don’t why, but i think it is, especially if your busy doing something this week. So focus on your work for school and before we know it feb 11th at 6pm will be here:)

Time seems to be moving so slowly. sigh

I know reginaphalange, this week did go by fast, but it’s like, uggh we have to do another one of these weeks until next friday. But at least we are almost finish with this week. I wish it was this friday lol, maybe by a miracle UF will say “hey guys, were letting admissions out this week!”, but that’s a daydream.

Hey everyone dont forget that the server at UF goes down many times on announcement day. So I suggest you chill. It maybe a day or two before you find out?

Good Luck to everyone and Go Gators!!!

I have a long weekend and I’m off from school today through Monday, so that should make time go quickly at least – you know time always flies during school vacation!! And once I get back, I’ll only have a few days, eek.

I feel like it must be hard for y’all in Florida because everyone knows what’s going on and probably knows who else applied. Being from NJ, I know one other person that applied to UF, so if I don’t get in, I can tell no one and pretend it never happened.

Yeah your right about the “we know everyone else who applied”. It kind of makes me not want to tell any of my peers because its like were all trying to get into this school, and some of us aren’t going to make it. And some of the people at my school, kind of rub in there “smartness”, like oh you got a 29 on the ACT? Well I got a 34. It’s kind of babyish and immature, but what can you do… Hopefully those who need to get in, get in. I do hope you get in though reginaphalange. Do you have a scholarship? I’m asking because I applied to out of state universities in new york, and I know that out of state tuition is crazy expensive. which is why Im second guessing of going to the universities in NY.

That must be difficult to deal with. At my school, everyone frowns upon going to a public school, unless it’s UVA, UNC, Michigan, or the top UC’s – even great schools like Wisconsin and Florida don’t get any respect. So regardless, I’m used to competitive classmates, and I know they can be a pain to deal with.

I hope you get in too – and same to everyone who wants it as badly as we do. I don’t have a scholarship; my father has a house in Florida and is moving there this month, and from what we can tell, they reassess residency after every semester, so after the first year, I should be eligible for in-state tuition if he is able to establish residency. Even if that doesn’t happen, Florida is worth the cost, and still much less expensive than private schools!

That sucks too, so if you tell your friends “hey i applied to UF” do they react as if you applied to a community college or something?

And that’s really good, because in state is soooo much cheaper. So i hope your dad establishes residency. I think you’ll love florida itself. not the school lol but the state. The weather here is awesome, and when it gets cold, it usually goes down to the 20’s or 30’s in G-ville. Which i think is cold enough to cover up but still comfortable. But you would probably be use to the weather. I mean your from somewhere it snows and drops below zero right? lol well if that’s the case, you would probably think the cold weather down here is like summer. I can’t believe we only have 6 days left. Time actually went by really fast. I’d rather be here then 2 months ago when I was like uggh the admission decision is far away. now its a week away lol
