UF and Bright Futures

Hi, my concern, like most other high school seniors, is how to pay for college. For a long time, as a student in the State of Florida, I thought that if I scored high enough my act (I got a 30) and had the GPA and community service, I would be fine for college. However, apparently it’s changed? I qualify for the highest level of Bright Futures (FAS) and I was wondering how exactly does it work now and will it be enough for me to attend to UF. I know that it doesn’t cover room and board, but does it still cover tuition? Thanks in advance to all that can help!

Bright Futures currently pays $103.00 per credit hour for up to a maximum of 45 credit hours per year. This may be increased for 2015-2016. UF tuition and fees for 2015-2016 are projected to be $6315 per year. So if you estimate using the 2014-2015 Bright Futures numbers, for a standard 30 credit year, Bright Futures would pay about $3090 per year.

Does anyone know how much each credit hour costs at UF?

It is calculated to be about roughly (tuition +fees for 30 credit hours) / 30 so in this case $6310/30 =$210.33 per credit hour including fees.
