<p>does UF admission difficulty vary by major?</p>

<p>(I have applied for Chemical Engineering)</p>

<p>because I know that at some colleges, it is harder to get accepted for a certain major than it is for another. I really want to do chemical engineering, but if it decreases my chances of admission, could I just major in chemistry and then switch into the major later?</p>

<p>don’t worry about it… chances are you will change your major anyways. that’s why they don’t evaluate FRESHMEN for Specific Majors</p>
