UF appeal???

I recently sent my appeal packet and I'm very nervous. I just want to know if anybody heard anything from UF.
Also if anybody have SF for their back up plan, please let me know.
Thanks.

results will probably come in between April 15th-May 1st, judging from prior years

yeah and it also depends on what you included in your appeal if you will get in or not so good luck!

when is the deadline?

@ Indianguy94 the deadline is April 13, I believe.
@ Smith, Thank you.
@ Hellohellogurl, I know, I’m just scared because my reasons are not that strong. I probably won’t get in… :(

i heard they came out today how did u do

The decisions came out today??? I didn’t get notified. Really?

They send them back based on the order they received them, but they started* sending them back like monday

wow…DID anybody get accepted???

I personally feel that my appeal was pretty solid, but I am expecting the worst. :|

Yep, rejected once more. sigh

I’m so sorry. I’m still waiting for my decision…but I’m pretty sure I will get rejected again…So…What’s your second plan?

I wanted to jump in here and let you all know that not getting into UF is not the end of the world.

I have been a Gator since 1976 when I was admitted as a freshmen. I graduated in 1980 and can tell you that I have bled orange and blue since the day I received my acceptance letter. UF was the only school I applied to. So I was thrilled. My experience at UF was amazing. But it would have been amazing no matter where I would gone to school.

Fast forward 35 years my son started his application process. UF, Ga Tech, UCF, UM he decided on UF. Since then he has done well in school and has enjoyed his experience at UF.

But like the old saying goes: This aint his Daddy’s UF.

Overcrowding is a problem, many courses are taken online (which can be a nightmare), professors are not available during office hours because there are too many students demanding their time, UF has become very much by the book the personal contact between student and teacher is gone. Limited housing space etc etc.

I believe that if my son knew what he knows now when he accepted UF has his school. He would have gone to Ga Tech or UCF.

So keep your heads up. Trust me by this time next year all of you wont even remember UF or care less about anything to do with UF.

Look forward never look back there is no turning back.

@orbitwhite333 I’ll be going to FSU this fall; they offered me a pretty nice scholarship. Plus, I can always keep the possibility of transferring in mind. But if I do, it will most likely be to a smaller, out-of-state school. Best of luck to you.

@gator4ever I appreciate the modest words of encouragement. Like your son, I was admitted to Georgia Tech so I thought I had at least a decent chance of being admitted to UF. Granted, alumni relation probably had a lot of weight, but still.

If it makes you feel better, I got accepted to UF and I’m probably going, even though I really really don’t want to. I wanted to go to George Washington University or American University in Washington DC, but I can’t because its too expensive. I’m really depressed about it.

The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Good luck to you, I think that FSU and UF are pretty similar in a lot of ways, so if UF was the type of school you wanted I’m sure you will enjoy your time there.

I have not gotten an answer on mine and it was sent to UF on or about March 13th. I would think that I was one of the earlier ones to get it in.

@ skatespin- I don’t know if many people would feel comforted knowing that someone, who doesn’t want to be at UF, got accepted (and is probably taking the seat of a die hard fan), while many others, who were dying to go to UF, got denied lol

It’s common, although he must be extremely socially inept to think that that would help anybody in the situation described. Or he’s trolling, but I’m thinking the first.

@highschjunior, maybe they are still reviewing… But some people got their decisions back and from what I know, they are all rejected again. I’m waiting on mind but I probably will get rejected again.

@prettyperidot, I agree with you. Haha
