@emily6996 I would say your brother is in great shape for UF. I would be very surprised if he didn’t get in. Sometimes you hear about kids with great grades and scores who don’t get in because they have no extracurriculars. This is not the case with your brother. No one is a lock in for UF due to holistic admissions but your brother is about as close as it gets.

Two questions because I’m ignorant about UF Admissions

  1. What time do decisions come out?
  2. I applied to UF and submitted my SSAR on Nov 27th (wasn’t on my radar until two days prior). Is it likely I’ll get my admission on February 8th? I have high stats (3.95 UW, 1570 SAT, 10 APs + few DEs) if that makes a difference.

If you didn’t apply by the Nov. 1 deadline (or Nov. 15th for Panhandle area), you will not get your decision on Feb. 8th.

@garamxmasala If you applied by November 1 but did not submit your SSAR until 11/27, you will get your decision Friday. If you submitted your entire application on 11/27, you will be considered on a space available basis and be notified in March. From the UF website:.

“Applicants who apply by the November 1 deadline but miss the December 1 SSAR deadline will be considered on a space-available basis and will not receive a decision until the March notification date.”

Is there an accepted UF thread
