UF college of education CC transfer

Hello! I am looking to transfer into the UF COE pro teach program and just wnat some advice. Any tips from people transfering, or already in the school? I am currently in santa fe college and should be finishing up with my AA in fall 2012.

G.P.A, SAT scores, exct....

From what I have read the COE is very competetive and hard to get in to, especially in Fall. I would try to keep my GPA above 3.8 to maximize my chances. Good Luck.

i don’t really remember the details, but i did have an email exchange with a few of the coordinators for the COE graduate/combined programs my freshman year. they were very friendly. i’d recommend contacting them directly for the best information.

thank you! i have spoken to advisors but they are pretty general with the information. I have heard that fall is harder to get into but I wouldn’t want to waste time sitting around to apply for a different term.

Make sure you have all of the prerequisites that the college of education is requiring for your major. In addition, those prerequisites should have a minimum average GPA of over a 3.0.

thanks! do any of you know how many students they accept each semester?

I agree, a GPA over 3.8 would be your best shot. The college of education is very competetive. Plus I heard UF has cut its transfer intake, over the years so you really should try to stand out.
