thats awesome! i thought about just doing the micro route and studying immunology! i worked at the UF citrus research center in lake alfred and it was a great experience, but i learned that it wasnt for me. Id much rather be interacting with people one-on-one. but you should look into it as well! they have some great opportunities and are conducting lots of ground-breaking research Btw i just received a decision from FSU, the other school that i applied to, and i applied there the day before UF, so im thinking it should be any day now that we hear back!

knowing my luck, i probably wont hear till nov 15th. but i got into UCF and signed up for orientation :)

hahah yeah i probably wont until then eitherā¦if we do get in theyre not leaving much time to plan before the semester starts

oh and congratulations :)

Thanksā¦it just sucks how some people who want to go to UF, wonāt find out a month before school starts with all the housing, classes, orientation, etc.

I applied to UF past Spring deadline for Political Science, (Sept. 21st), was granted a waiver by the Appeals Committee to apply for Spring still, and on top of that tonight I find this message:

Congratulations!!! Your application to the University of Florida for the Spring 2012 term has been approved!

Official notification will arrive by mail, including the conditions of your admission as well as important orientation and immunization information.

We look forward to seeing you on campus soon, and welcome you to the Gator Nation!

I had a 3.51 overall GPA
3.5 Pre-Req.
Currently have 44 credits and will have 60 at the end of Fall semester. What this is all meant to mean is that you never know with UF so everyone honestly has a decent shot as the other person said earlier, GPA is not everything.

congrats!

its cool you got to find out relatively fast.

agreed. definitely an inconvenience.

So I checked my status yesterday morning and I had been accepted. I applied to CALS as an Animal Biology major. CALS is starting to work on the applications, so just stick with it and youāll get an answer very soon. Good luck to everyone!

Congrats. When did you apply??

I had applied back in august of '10 and had been accepted for fall of this year but then I had to change it for spring and had to wait to get accepted again. sorry if that really doesnt help you to anticipate a decision time. Just think that they really only have about 2 weeks left to let you knowā¦

thanks for the feedback, and thats awesome, congratulations!! :)

I donāt know if this is the best place to ask, but I had a question about transferring to UF. I am hoping on being able to transfer to UF, after having obtained my AA from a CC, in the Fall of 2012. My basic question is if I am allowed to apply before I actually obtain my AA. I was looking at the deadline for that semester and it said June 1st, but I wouldnāt get my AA until August 15th.

Also, is UF a good school for a double major in Accounting and Finance/or Bus. Management?

-Background Information
I am currently a high school student. I have been dual enrolling for about 2 years now, and have accumulated 35 credits. At the rate I am going, I plan on finishing the 2 classes that I am currently taking and then taking 2 more classes in the spring. That would leave me with three classes for the summer after I graduate.

Congratulations!!! Your application to the University of Florida for the Spring 2012 term has been approved!

Official notification will arrive by mail, including the conditions of your admission as well as important orientation and immunization information.

AHHHHHH! okay so i am beyond overjoyed! IM GOING TO BE A GATOR! i checked at 830 and it said that the status check was down, so i checked again at 910 and that is what i saw! good luck to everyone, it seems like they are starting to release their decisions!!! :)

Congrats! Still nothing hereā¦

Congrats. Things are starting to look grim for me as I just realized I have not taken one of my prereq classes.

I had a pretty damn good feeling run through me tonight as i read that I got accepted; I hope all who read this thread know that it isnāt that I donāt think FSU or UCF suck, they just donāt seem like they will prepare me for graduate school. Good luck everyone, and take heart in the knowledge that wherever you go, you are going to receive a pretty damn good education.

i have been following this forum the whole time i just got accepted by UF into the college of health and human performance. I just wanted let anyone else applying there know that they are making decisions now.

Hey, I was just wondering where on ISIS you check your statusā¦ I log in there but there doesnāt seem to be any specific area. Does the decision just pop up on ISIS when its made??

you just go to ufl.edu, click on the type of student you are under admissions under the left hand side (obviously, i clicked transfer), then click on check your status on the bottom left. then scroll down, click log in, and use the same ID and password you did while completing your application!

congratulations to everyone! psmerling, so weird, i had a feeling that day too :)
