UF decision 2012 Spring TRANSFER - accepted/denied

Thanks MRock… that’s unfortunate  well, all I can do is sit back and hope for the best!

I honestly feel like I should call and ask CLAS when they will start accepting… :)

You should…I’m waiting to hear from them too. Let us know what they say!

I’m going crazy here. I’m at UF now visiting the campus and it only makes me want to find out more!

@ashtin, dude I live literally steps across from the stadium, how do you think I feel lmao

So, FSU is my backup school, and I got a note on the admissions decision part of the status check that the univ. needs my HS transcripts (for the foreign language requirement). I have been meaning to send them for ages, but haven’t had the time. I read that admission to the college and university is concurrent, so does this mean I will have a decision as soon as they receive my HS transcripts? Has anyone else heard from FSU?

I’m not sure what that means, but if I had to guess I would say that it means that as soon as FSU admits you the college will automatically admit you too. In a lot of cases, you have to be approved by the admissions dept and then the college you are applying to. I could be completely wrong though. What major are you applying to?

I applied to fsu it just say like reviewing application or something.

This is what it says when I log in. I applied for psychology, and facts.org says that admission to the college and university happens at the same time. I sent them my transcripts today.

Admission Decision
We have not received documentation that you have satisfied the foreign language admission requirement. For detailed information about our admission requirements, click here.

If we receive the appropriate documentation by our deadline, your application will be forwarded to your academic area to determine if the milestones for your intended major have been met.

Admission Information
We are unable to determine whether the foreign language entrance requirement has been satisfied. If you completed this requirement in high school, please submit an official high school transcript.

did u submitt your transcript yet? I would do it asap ! :)

I had my H.S. transcripts sent this morning.

awesome! … and now we wait! lol

I as well got the same message as another student that my application is up for referral.

I’m not exactly sure when we should know the decision day hopefully soon! But then again,
the majority deadline date isn’t until Sept 15th. Some majors have an October and November deadline but majority are the 15th.
I had called back in summer because that’s when i submitted my application and the woman said within the first 2 weeks of fall.
But that could be wrong.

Good luck to everyone!

I applied to FSU as a backup too, and I got an email from them a few weeks ago saying that they made a decision, but my status check says that I still need to send them my HS transcripts. Emailed them and they said they did make a decision and just need the HS transcripts before they tell me. I’m guessing that means I got in, because I don’t know why they would need the transcripts if they had already decided to reject me. Now if only UF could make a decision that fast!

yeah you prob did get in! congrats if so :)

brente, do you know if UF is like that? Where the university has to accept you first and then the college makes a decision? Or is it just completely concurrent? I’m assuming it’s concurrent because UF is the only school (that I’m aware of) that requires 100% of your pre-reqs to be completed before admission, but just figured I’d ask anyway. Anything to make this process seem less nerve-wracking haha.

@ashtin, I just checked my e-mail, and the e-mail says they have made a decision. I checked my online status, and they have received my H.S. transcripts, but they have not updated my admissions status yet!!! ARGH! I NEED a good backup!

Hello everybody, I’m applying to the UF school of electrical engineering for the spring 2012 semester, is anybody else? I’ve already been accepted by UCF as and EE major but I really want to go to UF. Anyway’s I know a lot UF’s engineering school application process so If anybody has any questions just post them here.

SED1090, that sucks! I would call them or email them to see what’s up.

Hi, I’m new to CC. Although I’ve been a serious lurker for the past year. I know this is for 2012 transfer’s but I was hoping to get some sort of guidance from this thread because I want to know and do everything I possibly can to increase my chances of being accepted as a transfer.

My question is, would it be better to apply for spring 2013 with 3 of my pre-reqs completed and the last 2 in progress or to apply for summer 2013 when I will have completed the last two during the fall semester. I want to get in so badly I will extend my stay at the community college if it means I’ll have a better chance.

If it helps any, I plan to apply to CALS for microbiology and cell science

By the way: if this is totally out of place I apologize, please kindly refer me to a better thread :)

Good luck for everyone who is waiting on a decision!
