UF Dorm Bathrooms

Do all of the bathrooms have stalls for the showers? Or do some dorms have showers that are open with multiple shower heads in one room?

All the showers have individual stalls. The bathrooms are not bad at all.

That’s definitely good to hear lol!

Thanks mfhettig!

Is there ever a problem with having to wait to take a shower, or is there usually at least one open?

Haha no problem. I actually lived in a dorm that had an attached, one shower shared between four people, which actually did get annoying if you had class in the morning at the same time as one of them.

But, when visiting friends in other dorms and just asking them, it seemed like people who had the regular communal bathrooms actually had less problems getting a shower. Every time I went in the bathroom there it was pretty much empty, and they told me they had never had to wait.

Waiting for showers isn’t that a big problem because everyone has a different schedule and/or preferences. The variation of class starting times helps space out the need for showers/bathrooms. Plus, not everyone showers in the morning. It becomes a problem when a large group of your floor wants to go out that night, however.

Thanks again mfhettig and Niquii77!

Mfhettig, are you talking about Beaty? I actually put that as my first choice for dorms, followed by Jennings and Tolbert, respectively. Do you think I should live in a dorm with a communal bathroom then?

I actually have a couple more questions haha. Is there a changing station in most of the dorms with communal bathrooms? Or do people usually just change in their room? And, how many shower stalls are usually on each floor, for dorms with communal bathrooms?
