1.) when i log onto the myUFL thing and like under my options where it says UF buisness email or w.e it has the option to set my email as watever@ufl.edu
but then if i try to log onto the webmail it doesnt work.. i asked uf in an email a while ago about that and when i actuallly get my email (so i can use it for facebook-haha- and also for offical things for UF) and they said that ocne the status for UF was changed that i would since right now i was only listed as affliate and that it would change sometime in beg of march.. ive been accepted since dec.. and it still is the same. anyone know when we actually get it??

2.) soo i lovew UF. i am out of state and i really dont know ANYONE who is going there.. but in the mail UF ( with alumni) sent out this invitation for this like a night where you get to go a nice hotel and meet other kids accepted to UF and talk to people from there about it.. i think that is sooo nice of them since then i will know people from this area who will be there in gville with me :) jus wonderedf if they only do that for all outa state kids or just places where alumni are and want to spend money haha

oh yeah.. cant wait for UF to rock GMU (since im from that area i know all sorta of people at mason and going there next year-- and i cant wait to see UF win! well hopefully :-D )

1) Yea, I have the same problem. Apparently the INBOX is not set up, therefore there is no actual mailbox for the mail to go to. I was accepted RD1, and I set the business e-mail, but it still doesn't work. (even paid the tuition deposit)

2) I think everyone gets one of those letters to go to the regional banquets. I did, and I'm in-state.

answer to 1).....i heard that once you registered for your classes you can use your email, i tried to use it for facebook also with no success. Someone also mentioned that you can do the email fowarding, and have it foward to, for example, your personal email.....but that was of no success either. Try and see what happends though.

FYI, you might want to go on to gatorlink.ufl.edu to see if your e-mail address has been activated. Mine has, so I'm able to use webmail as wel as an e-mail client

In order to activate your UF mail box you must first complete their pre-preview preview prep. This is for students who have already signed up for their preview session. In the process of doing so, you will see an option to activate your account. After that, everything, including your MyUFL, will work. In the meantime you can only forward your @ufl.edu address to another email address.

I am filling out my my preview prep worksheet right now. However, one of the questions confuses me. I selected Business-related majors for my two choices. It asks, "Do any of these majors require Calculus or General Chemistry?". I selected 'yes', since business majors require Calculus. It then asks, "If so, do you need the CRA or ChRA?".

I do not know what to select.
I know that since my major is in the field of business, I have to take the CRA. However, I already took it! So I don't "need it". I am having trouble interpreting this question.

As for the ChRA and CRA, you should contact the individual department to ask them what their requirements are. If you are unsure you can leave it blank for now and fill it in later. There is an update preview prep option. You will find this option on the lower left hand side of the main preview prep page (http://cgi.advising.ufl.edu/prep/).
