UF FinAid

@SoNonchalant where did you see this new information at?

Stupid question, is there a deadline by which you must accept your financial aid?

@UMcane I just checked mine tonight and it said the same thing, I found it under check status in ISIS.

Sent from my PC36100 using CC App

This means that you all need to call the financial aid office and request the form so you can accept the FOS. For the record, Yes you have received the scholarship. The same thing happened to me.

@UMcane yeah you just login to isis and under the financial tab click aid status and scroll down to see…

another question are they going to automatically send you the paper you need to submit or do you have to call because everytime i do my fin. aid adviser is never there

@SoNonchalant They didn’t automatically send mine so I called. Don’t wait on them to send it to you because if they don’t send it in time you won’t receive the scholarship.

congrats to all of you who have received the FOS!

Just a quick question…(since I am still having my package “finalized”), were all of you guys that recieved the FOS at an efc of 0? Because my single mom with an income of 6,000 per year didn’t even land me an efc of 0 (mine was $180), and I’m worried that I won’t recieve FOS and therefore will not be able to attend UF seeing as 6k a year is barely enough to live.

I don’t believe so because a friend of mine who does not have an efc of 0 still recieved the FOS

How does an earning of 6k a yr not give you an EFC of 0? My parents earnings are over 5 times that and I still got an EFC of 0. Something just doesnt seem right here…

@fischerzacdc

You may want to check your FASFA application to see if you put in the correct information, maybe accidentally typed 60,000?

Yeah something isn’t right with that. There’s no possible way you can earn $6,000/year and have an EFC greater than 0. You need to review your FAFSA and possibly send UF a copy of your family tax form.
