Hello everyone!! I got accepted to UF and am ecstatic. But I am wondering If it is considered to be a good school for acceptance into a law school, as in, are there english programs good? Because I plan on majoring in English and want to attend an elite law school and am wondering if those law schools will look at UF and think of it as only a school for sciences. Has anyone had any or heard of any experiences with the english and liberal arts departments and applicants to law schools from UF?

While UF does have a good pre-law program, there are better. One in particular is the University of Alabama (#35 law school in the nation and still rising). I actually just stumbled across this forum by chance. I applied to UF and was denied :( (Damn being OOS with In-State tuition...that's the perfect formula for denial). I'm going into Broadcast Journalism and Pre-Law and I was torn between both Bama and UF but being denied from UF turned out to play in my favor b/c Bama's Broadcast program is #5 in the nation and as I said about the law school, it's #35. Just because you like a school, does not mean it is the best choice for you. I got into Tennessee and loved it but loved Bama too and Bama was way better for major so I turned UT down.
