Ok I know UF GPA you get .5 for Honors 1 for AP, but is it only counting core classes? I read someones post on here that said that, I think they're wrong. If that's true I'm taking 2 Non Core Classes which are AP Courses (AP Bio and AP Psych) and Spanish 3 Honors, my other 2 AP's are my core classes. Do I get UF GPA Credit for those 3 Non Core Classes, if so I'd love to switch my Physics H and AP Bio around to get the UF GPA Credit, but I hope that poster is wrong, and I receive UF GPA Credit no matter what. Does anyone know?

Finally, on a side note I took a Honors Reading Course for a Semester in 9th that was mandatory for 9th graders (But different levels of difficulty, I took Honors) will that be put into UF GPA?

I can confirm that only core classes count towards your UF GPA. However, AP Bio, AP Psych and Spanish 3H are most definitely core classes. Bio is a science, psych is a social science and spanish is a foreign language, which are all core.

As for the reading class, it does not sound like it would be part of your core classes, but sounds more like an elective (mandatory or not). Not sure though.

Let me make something clear: as data said AP Bio, AP Psych and Spanish 3H are considered core classes, even if you select them as an elective. My junior year I took AP Bio as core and Physics Honors as elective yet they both were used to calculate my UF GPA. The only courses not considered for UF GPA are other elective courses such as Personal fitness, health, computer classes, fine arts etc. and, in your case, the mandatory reading class.
Hope this helped

Thank you, also the mandatory reading class was counted as a core class for a semester at our school, are you sure it won’t count towards UF GPA lol, and it was an Honors Course.

well in that case there is no way to be certain unless you ask the guidance counselor at your school or better yet an admissions officer at UF. Some questions just can’t be answered at CC lol
