I see people posting in topics referring to their "UF" GPAs.

How does UF calculate GPA? I thought they just take your weighted GPA, however your school does it. Or do they only count certain years or only academic courses or what?

I found out my GPA from my high school is only a 2.9, but my UF GPA is closer to a 3.2, because my high school only applies 5/100 points to honors and AP. UF applies 10/100.

Unless something has changed, UF uses only your academic courses and weights .5 for honors or dual enrollment and 1.0 for AP or IB courses.

cybermom is definately correct.

ie you have a B in chemistry = 3.0
if its honors its 3.5
if its an AP or IB its a 4.0
