UF Honors Program... worth it?

I was invited to apply for the Honors Program at UF. Is it worth it? What are the real benefits? And should I live in Hume Hall?

You get priority registration after two other groups and the honors classes are smaller. However, you don't have to be in honors to register for honors classes. You just have to wait till the week of drop/add and add it, if there are any open spaces. They like to also advise students toward going for top collegiate awards (i.e rhodes, fulbright, etc).

IMO - yes, worth it....
My opinion is based on my UF son's experiences at UF (and his opinion of what would be best for his younger brother, should he attend UF) and my UCF son's experience in their Honors College and housing.

If my son gets accepted to Honors, he'll do the program, and try for Hume.
