Well daughter got her final ACT score of 32 this morning and was not happy. She was hoping for 33 so she would qualify for UF honors program. We are under the impression you need 33 to qualify. My question is once your at school can your grades at school, if high enough, allow you to transfer to the honors program? I keep telling her I am very proud of the scores she has received. Didn't take as a teen but probably would of been lucky to get a 22 myself.

My son is also close to the cut off for SAT score… according to admissions they are considering adding an option that would allow students who are very close to requirements to request a waiver for admission to the honors program. They told me if they decide to allow a waiver request, it will be posted on the website in the spring. Good luck.

The waiver/petition process is posted on the site now, and it is specifically for people in your situation. Can’t hurt to try.

Almost positive there won’t be a another test score to send. This score she got this morning was her fourth time taking since 10th grade. We didn’t know about the possibility of still getting in the honors so thanks for that info. Course she first has to get accepted. We haven’t gotten that yet. Hoping her score along with her GPA 3.95 and 4.56 will allow acceptance
