UF Housing Term issue?!?

Hi guys, so I called UF to chose the option of starting IA in Spring, but my Gatorlink originally had me for Summer B. So they said I had to email them authorization of changing terms, so I did just that. They said this can take up to 2 weeks.

Now, on my housing portal I do not have option available for Spring/Summer 2014 contract, as should be for IA students. I tried calling housing but no answer today.

Do I have to wait the 2 weeks as an appeal case for switching terms or should I call admissions again? Is there a way to open contract to that desired term or is it just open according to my current term (Summer B)?

HELP!

Curious as to why you changed to IA
then you will be doing spring-summer for four years with out the option for fall semester.
with IA you are limiting yourself…while if you stay in summer you have the option to go any term.
Do you plan to do study abroad the Fall semesters/work/take online…just curious

@UFEddy I have the exact opposite problem, I want to go from IA to Summer B. I have already emailed asking for a term change, do you think if we gave them each others names in an email it would make their job easier?

@2013cheer - Good question. Well, I think financially it’d benefit me to stay a bit longer, the way everything is on the household at the moment. Plus, I want to have some free time in Fall to do some internships and what not. I am okay with not taking classes in Fall. Trust me, I weighed out my choice already.

@GATOR2233 - I understand where you are coming from, but I doubt that giving them our names would work since it’s not a transfer program that we’re dealing with here. I sent the email as well, but I don’t understand why for ME it works as an appeal process and I’d have to wait weeks, when I was given option…
