Let's assume for a second that I'm not being unfairly judged by you and the other FSU proponents on this board for liking UF more than FSU, Pistolen. I would love it if you pointed to a rude comment I made in this thread that was not a response to a previous insult directed at myself. Thank you.

Hey tomatoking, a reply from you would be fine too. If you can't produce one, I expect you to leave me be in the future.

Clearly ABCB is just as passionate about UF as the rest of us are about FSU.

We're more alike than different.

Why not just argue the facts and leave the personal aspect alone? Consider being called on the facts "quality control" to ensure accurate postings.

btw - I studied accounting as well...its a great major for a multitude of occupations. Not an easy major, however.

parent2noles - you and I have clashed in the past (most, if not all, from my end, I know). You always keep a level head and come in as the voice of reason more often than not. I agree with everything you just said, and I'm going to try and see to it that things go that way.

I see them as "discussions" not "clashes". There's a difference. :)

Passion is essential to excellence. However, it is best when controlled and focused. The object is persuasion, not domination; this is after all a college bulletin board. It is better to be a benefit than a burden. All of us have been both at one time or another.

btw - I do not agree that UF has better alumni connections. Such are very much dependent on the industry.

"I would love it if you pointed to a rude comment I made in this thread that was not a response to a previous insult directed at myself. Thank you."

Well...I called ABC a silly boy, and he/she retorted by calling me a liar.

"I won't allow you to spread lies." (his/her words, not mine)

Any questions?

ABC,
Are you from Florida? As a New Yorker I think that those people from Florida who try to tear down FSU to pump up UF are doing a diservice to both universities as well as the entire FL state college system.
Why not be proud that you have a top notch system that adds value to your degree and entire state? NYS has the SUNY system, it is quite excellent. SUNY Binghamton is one of the most difficult to gain entrance too. However I have never heard one Bing. student putting down or being critical if naother kid is going to SUNY Albany instead.
It has been my experience that most New Yorkers are unaware that the FL sysytem is so strong much less that UF has a higher overall academic record. Keep in mind people on this board are interested in college guide books etc, most busy people unless they are in the college realm are not aware of such details. This is my POV as an OOS you may not agree, I think outting down all the other fine FL universities inc UCF FAU etc to buid up UF does the state more harm than good

What did you decide? Please let us know. Regardless of which university you choose to spend your undergrad days, have an awesome college experience!
