HI! Im an OOS applicant who is currently deciding between UF and UGA. I intend on majoring in Business and potentially Sports Management if it’s possible to double major. I was just wondering which school has more prestige, better undergrad business school, better post grad opportunities, etc. I do feel like I would be able to fit in at both schools easily but I’m very torn on which one is better academically and how they would position me post graduation. Any insight or info would be much appreciated. Thank you!
As a UGA grad I can promise you that UGA is better.
Ok, in reality they’re basically the same for business. Both are well respected public schools that employers like to hire from. The biggest advantage for UGA is it’s in one of the best college towns, but that may or may not be your thing.
Have you visited both schools? Are you in the honors college at either school?
As a UF grad I can promise you that UF is better.
They are basically the same. I do have to agree with @AlwaysMoving that Athens is one of the great college towns, but Gainesville is also nice.
I"m not sure if you can dual major in Sports Management (which is in the College of Health and Human Performance) and Business. You may want to ask someone at UF (in the College of Business) and UGA. It is easy to switch majors at UF, if you decide to switch from Business to Sports Management.

UF does require that graduates complete a graduation survey and they publish the results. It does provide a lot of “outcomes” information. Note that Sports Management majors tend to do additional internships after graduation, or entry level jobs in athletic departments (or grad school, including law school), so starting salaries tend to be much lower than Business majors…

You can also use LinkedIn. Look up UGA or UF, then select Alumni and then search for Sports Management (or just select business). It will give you an idea of what companies they work for and where they live.
Good Luck!
@AlwaysMoving I have visited them both briefly but I will be visiting them both again extensively this month. I am not at the honors college at either school but I do know both schools present great opportunities
@Gator88NE Thank you for the info! It is greatly appreciated I will certainly take a look at that now
Think about where you want to live after college. Yes you can get to lots of places from both but they tend to swim in their own pond. professionally. Majority of Gators will stay in FL. Dawgs love Atlanta. That could make a difference in networking and recruiting, especially in business.
@rickle1 I appreciate the input, thank you! I’ll make sure to take this into consideration
