I am having an incredibly difficult time deciding between UF and USF honors. I am going to do pre-med, but I'm not positive what I'll choose as my major just yet.

Financially I won't have to pay anything at either.
I live in Tampa, but I still have enough scholarships to live in a dorm.
At UF I will live a little off campus but in a scholarship house- I'll have a few chores during the week, but the rent is greatly reduced and my financial aid should cover it.

So, I would really appreciate any advice on whether it would be better to do pre-med at UF regular or USF honors.

I’m an undergraduate student at USF. UF vs. USF could be debated all day long. A girl from my old high school, who is maybe 4 yrs older than me, was in the USF Honors College and is now a student in the UF COM. So my point is simply that a USF Honors College graduate can be well prepared and gain admission to selective graduate programs and professional schools. Undergraduate students at USF receive an excellent education that will lead to future success.

^ I agree with lizard. Have you seen the “top tier student at a third tier school” thread? It is what you make of it, truly. You will be well-prepared to go to a solid graduate school if you put the work into it. If USF is the better choice financially and socially/academically/etc. for you, go for USF. The Honors program is really attentive (they are craving good students) and will help you along the way rather nicely. :)
