UF School of Music--Symphony Orchestra? Open to non music majors/minors?

This is a very specific question so there may not be many people who can help but I was wondering if anyone knows if you have to be a music major/minor to be part of it? As a non music major/minor, can I audition as a violin for the UF Symphony Orchestra? I’m in my high school’s chamber orchestra (our school has made it to State MPA multiple times and I’m of the best violins) and I cannot imagine life not being in an orchestra. I would consider minoring in music but I don’t take private lessons, have very little rep and absolutely suck at sight reading. But I’m a good player. Can someone help me out here lol thanks
