I have been accepted to the UF Summer B class of 2015. I’m pursuing a Computer Science major.
With that being said…
Does being accepted to UF Summer B mean that I wasn’t fully accepted to UF? (I know IA students only take classes during spring/summer, so they aren’t really considered “full” UF students. i.e, no football games or other things reg. students are given.) Does this also mean that I will only take classes in the summer and I won’t take any in the fall? And does this mean that I won’t follow a “regular” schedule? Thanks in advance!
You are a normal residence student and can (and is expected to) attend school in the Fall. The only requirement is that Summer B must be your first semester at UF. Afterwords you have the same requirements/options as any other student. This is a one time and done thing…
IA students are “full” students, they simply can’t attend any on-campus classes in the Fall term (but they can take online classes during the fall). They can attend football games, etc. IA students are also limited to IA majors. That’s not the case with Summer B students.
My daughter did Summer B at UCF. It was great for her, she was able to familiarize herself with the campus, meet people, and easily transition when the Fall students arrived.
It thought every student studying in Florida has to at some point or another do a summer session.
