Hey guys,
I applied in December to UF as a transfer student for fall 2013 (I currently have 63 credits). I currently attend Santa Fe College (CC for UF) and in my required courses for transfer, I have a 2.56 GPA (2.5 is required for admission). I applied to CALS as a Microbiology major. The admission coordinator for CALS said I will know no later than July 15.. but I can't wait that long, I'm dying here! What are my odds of getting in UF as a transfer to CALS? I'm freaking out and feel like I've worked hard for nothing!

How did you make out? I want to transfer there, but I’m scared to apply there.

@mklamby, Apply!

Remember, if transferring from a CC, you will need your AA. If transferring from another university, you only need 60 credits (plus whatever additional requirements each college may have).

Good Luck!

What are my chances of getting in?

For CLAS, a 3.4 is usually ok. You may want to post your question in the UF forum, you’ll likely get more responses from recent transfer students.

mklamby,
I ended up being accepted and am currently taking 15 credits at UF and LOVING it!!!
For CALS, I ended up having around a 2.7 when accepted (in the classes they are looking at) while my overall GPA was around 3.1. I know CLAS is a lot more competitive (reason why I appled to CALS) so good luck!! I’m sure you will get in!
