My source is actually the admissions secretary that handles all the documents for the admissions committee.
North Carolina universities up here finish in less than 3 weeks…not enough time.
However, I heard that apartments are always available year round, so hopefully it won’t be troublesome.

letter of intent application for CLAS states:Admission Decision Notification You will be notified of your admission decision approximately six weeks after the application deadline. Please be patient and understand that we review up to 1,000 applications a semester and will notify you as quickly as possible when a decision has been made.

I wonder if they mean the march 1st deadline or the credentials deadline. If they refer to the April 2nd deadline then it is possible for a May decision.

march was the APPLICATION deadline

and april was the credentials deadline.

application = application

credentials = credentials.

approximately 6 weeks after the application deadline is the middle of april or late april/into early may

^ that was the same time frame transfers were notified last year.

i fully believe that’s when decisions will start coming out.

Great info teb0w, thanks for being a dick about it.

wasn’t intending to be one… sorry you feel that way though.

So I talked to CALS and they haven’t even started looking at Summber B yet much less Fall, so I talked to an official and I think i will be able to change my admission term to Summer B. Would the standards be the same or higher/lower for summer B compared to Fall?

standards are the same regardless of summer or fall… it’s all about the gpa.

what part of roughly 6 weeks after the application deadline aren’t any of you understanding?

march 1st + 6 weeks = mid-late april.

It’s not that we don’t understand “roughly six weeks after application deadline,” it’s just that many need to know as soon as possible especially since the dates for committing to other schools are very, very near. Besides… if they haven’t even started looking at summer B, they aren’t going to magically pull out acceptances out of their butts for fall transfer applicants. So chill out.

it isn’t a long drawn out process. the credentials deadline just passed and decisions won’t be out for a few more weeks.

all decisions are released at the same time. it’s not like you have a better chance at acceptance because you’re applying for summer.

i speak based on past decisions not merely what i magically believe.

Any new updates with College of Broadcastng and Journalism? … What is the “credential deadline”? Is that for all colleges?

What is the credentials deadline? Is it for all colleges? Any new info for the Journalism & Broadcasting college? : )

The credentials deadline is another one in addition to the application deadline. All of the transfer applicants for the college of liberal arts were given a form to fill out with two essays, and those forms and essays were due by the credentials deadline of April 2nd. If you haven’t gotten any notice from your particular college through e-mail, i don’t think you have much to worry about. As of now, we’re assuming application decisions may be available beginning around April 15th, and may continue until whenever.

This is the website:

That website appears to be just an advertisement for Trimark Properties. There are tons of other off-campus options besides Trimark.

yeah but the website has ufl.edu in it, so I kind of trust them when they say that information will be posted around April 15, 2009. If you look on the right hand side of that webpage there’s a Transfer related hyperlink.

This is my first time posting here. I applied to CALS for Fall '09. I have been told by a reliable source at UF that summer A will receive a decision this month, summer B sometime around May 1, and Fall by June 1. Hopefully that clarifies for some of you.

So tebow, they may have done it one way in the past but UF has decided to do it differently this year and it sucks.

CALS seems to be a pretty popular college around here : )
Good Luck to everyone thus far!
::sigh:: Waiting, waiting …

well considering it’s called CLAS, not CALS, I would not trust info from this person…

considering CALS AND CLAS are 2 different existing colleges at UF, I wouldn’t trust you

Yea bullybeatdown there is the college of ag. And life sciences hence the acronym CALS and also College of Liberal arts and science (CLAS) and as stated before my info comes from a reliable source.

P.S. It’s a good idea to have all the facts before you make a statement
