@banjo…I am mechanical…WOW a double major in Civil and Mechanical would be CRAZY but you would really be in demand. I had an internship last summer and there were a lot of mechanicals doing civil work

I thought about calling but am kind of afraid…they may be like “you are the 10,000th caller to inquire about you status so for that you are REJECTED”. Probably pretty irrational, but since they were nice to you I may work up the courage over the weekend and call on monday

I got the same message from the link…I am just waiting for the status page to give me a FORBIDDEN message when I check it for the thousandth time of the day :)

Don’t be afraid to call. Their job is to answer our calls but I’m sure they can start being rude after the official results come out.

I literally called 37 times and got the lady’s voicemail. When she finally called me back she left a message laughing saying “Thanks for calling me 37 times, this must be important.”

I’ve been waiting since November 1st.

I can assure you that not everyone found out already. They have specific deadlines that they typically don’t budge on. I know for certain that Engineering isn’t even going to the Dean until the 15th, so don’t get too worried yet. However, on a not so good note, I’ve heard before that UF will reject people and simply never let them know. So stay in touch with the Directors of your department.

I seem to be sleeping ok… I just keep having this dream that I am 80 in a nursing home and while everyone is playing bridge and doing arts and crafts I am sitting in a corner refreshing my application status page STILL waiting for an answer :)

I’m not losing sleep, but I’m starting to check this message board about as much as I check my status, which is constantly… the worst part is that I already KNOW I won’t hear until at least the 15th.

Wow … rejecting people and never letting them know? I hope I’m not that one in a million person whom that happens to … just another thing to worry about I guess.

To be totally honest, I think I read that on here somewhere anyway, so I wouldn’t worry about it. And no, I doubt they do anything on the weekends, except laugh with their families about all the transfer hopefuls that will probably need some sort of medication after April is finally over.

Just to let everyone know I just received a letter of ACCEPTANCE in the mail to the college of engineering. I thought it was kind of weird because my isis page hasn’t changed. SO everybody run outside and check your mailbox.

I like it. It took a while to get use to. I am from a small city outside of Gainesville, that is where my parents live. It is about 1hr. 15min. The nightlife is great, people are nice. It’s truly a college town. I’m sure you’ll love it : )

Do you know where you’ll be living yet? Roommates? Side of town?

No joke… I just couldn’t believe it came in the mail b4 it was online…thank you

That’s good to hear…Im really glad that Gainesville is not a HUGE city…I am looking @ some apartments on 23rd st off of Archer… they are one bedroom so no roommates I really want to focus on school and avoid unnecessary drama (which I have heard usually comes standard issue with roommates)
