i really hope that’s the case too…i am considering FSU but i would rather go to USF…they have one of the best CPA exam passing rates and the way i look at it is if you just apply yourself and do your best wherever you go…you’ll be successful…and plus tampa will have a lot more internship opportunities

I feel the same way. I am an AA transfer from community college; however, (unfortunately) I don’t have the 3.9 or 4.0 GPA as everybody else on this forum. I too applied FISHER, but I start to lose my hope since there are so many 4.0GPA applicants.
I also applied the USF at Tempa, it’s a great school too. Plus, I think there are a lot of business opportunities in Tempa.
However, I like FISHER the most!
Good luck to both of us!

yeah i like Fisher the most too…its ranked fairly high but like i said it’s what you do once you’re in that matters…i go to santa fe so im already bleeding orange and blue lol…but i’m looking forward to tampa and you’re right about the business opportunities…you’re more likely to find a job/internship there than you would in gainesville

mine still shows my degree audit
and holds for immunization and emergency contact

but i’m able to acces myUFL

and it says…

You have the roles shown below:

Role Name Description
UFPAAuthUsers Default role assigned to all users with a valid GatorLink account. Provides basic access to myUFL content and services.
UFSFSTUDENTSS This role is automatically assigned to users with a University affiliation. This is a Self Service role allowing users to view their debts, service indicators and other related items. This is access to student financials, not student access.
UFSS_USER Universal role that allows user to sign-on

(hope this helps)
what you really need to do is go to “transfer” on ufl.edu and then “check status” on the transfer page and put in your gatorlink account. that will be the page that shows you if you are accepted or not because when i checked mine last week it said ::

Congratulations!!! Your application to the University of Florida for the Fall 2009 term has been approved!

Official notification will arrive by mail, including the conditions of your admission as well as important orientation and immunization information.

We look forward to seeing you on campus soon, and welcome you to the Gator Nation!

Been following this thread so I figured I’d chime in. I received my acceptance letter for admission to UF’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering on Friday, the 10th.

Despite correspondence by mail, my application status page hasn’t changed; it still states that my application has been forwarded to my college for a final decision. I know of one other person starting in summer, civil engineering major, whose page also didn’t update even though he received his acceptance letter.

Basically, if you’re reasonably sure about getting in, don’t sweat the application page too much. Your letter might just be in the mail.

I’ve got a 3.73 overall, a 3.93 for my AA, and a 4.00 in my critical tracking courses.

Also, my letter says I need to confirm my intent to enroll for Fall by May 30th. I don’t know if that actually sheds any light on when most applicants will be informed, but I figured I’d throw it out there.

what school would you ideally wish to pursue your law degree? any idea which field of law you might study? i know it’s still early. i’m hoping to go to either northwestern or the university of chicago-both highly prestigious and grossly difficult to gain admittance into. i’m interning with the public defender’s office and i really seem to enjoy criminal law. whether i decide to pursue a criminal or civil law career, one thing i do know is i want to be a trial attorney.

anybody have any interesting internships lined up for the summer?! being a political science major, i secured a very exciting opportunity interning with Congresswoman Melissa Bean of Illinois. can’t wait! here’s hoping it will increase the attractiveness of my resume for law school as well!!
