UF Transfer Thread-Spring 2010

so i finally was able to contact the office of admission for the business college. after being bounced around, i was finally able to speak with the admission representative who informed me that i had been rejected to the main campus but accepted to the online school. they were unsure as to why it had not updated, but i got my answer within minutes.

to those of you who have not heard, jump on he phone and get some answers! good luck! to those of you who were accepted, congrats and i wish you well! see you for graduate school perhaps?

thank you for your time and company everyone! off to USF!

Hey haha, I just checked and I do have a hold on my record for the Health form and a couple other things (like being a new student). If only I could get my freaking immunization form from my doctor!!! They are taking forever to fill it out and approve it.

Thanks for checking, GatorJV. It took my doctor forever to fill out the form too.

“UFID: At this time, we are unable to offer you a contract for the Spring 2010 contract period. Should this change we will send you additional information via email and/or US mail about completing a contract.”

(I replaced my UFID with the words “UFID”) does this mean that dorming is full and i am unable to apply for dorming?

So all we need are the immunizations to start registering for classes?

And this is exactly what I feared…housing. I hope that there is still space for transfers.

I got that message on the housing site for a while, but then it updated and allowed me to fill out a contract. I’ve ultimately decided on off-campus housing, but I think there is still some on-campus housing available.

Hey, would any of you know if we need a physical prior to attending UF. I know I need the vaccine, but my mother thinks that I also need a doctor signed physical. I could find anything in the brief time I’ve had to check UF’s website for anything regarding so any information would be great!

okay perfect hahathatsfunny  and mine allowed me to do so today so i’m not fretting as badly anymore lol!

What the heck?? Nothing still. Am I the only one still waiting?? I called again and they told me to wait. :(

Spidey. You have to attend orientation as well. There are more holds than just immunization.

is it listed somewhere on myufl where our current holds are? i can’t seem to find it at all.

Go here ISIS

Then hit registration prep on the left. Then continue after that and it will show you what holds you have at that time. :)

When I do that Gator it says "record not found’…
is that bad?

EDIT: Never mind… I figured it out, I hope haha

Not gonna lie, it’s a bit depressing to come here now when I’m the only one who is still waiting after having applied since April. UF should have had the decency to get back to me by now, I’d say. This is a bit ridiculous; I cannot wait and wait. Other arrangements will have to be made. Just going to assume I’ve been rejected and forget about it. Congrats to everyone! I hope UF is a great experience! :)

Sorry about that Oreos, but applying since April wouldn’t matter. It only starts after the deadline. I hope everything goes well in the future!! Maybe you will find out and change your mind. :)

I applied way back in the Summer,I was denied to HHP last Spring(for Fall). I reapplied to CALS and have yet to find out. There was a small mishap with my app and I had to get them to reopen it. I also had to make the call to get it sent to CALS.

I’ve already been accepted to FSU, but UF is my first choice since I already live in Gainesville. I was also told we would find out by Nov. 15th, maybe thats just CALS though?

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

thank you gatorjv :)! found it!

went to transfer preview on November 9th…and for anyone who’s attended a University prior to UF, let me tell you now, you’re in for the same orientation u received as a Freshman…except it’s all packed into on day. That continental breakfast is something of a joke, and the charge of $43 dollars, you’ll soon be asking why lol. But really word of advice, get your Gator ID, done a day or two before if you’ll be in the city, because the lines will be long. Once again congrats to everyone who was accepted.

i skipped one of the break out sessions to get my Gator 1 card so i wouldn’t have to wait in line. it was boring overall but not bad until the end for me. the english majors were given the wrong room in turlington for departmental advising, so we waited for 30mins with no advisor showing up then had to leave because a class was in there. luckily i found the english advising office, but that mistake and others that applied hopefully just to me really ticked me off and made transfer preview a bad experience overall. i did end up getting all but one of the classes i wanted through a bit of maneuvering, but i still have some people to contact about issues with my AP scores and transferring credits etc. i hope that all of you going in december don’t have the same issues i had :).

Umm… Just found out 20 minutes ago that I’M ACCEPTED. In shock. They really had me waiting down to the last straw. Shocked. Haha! Do I just wait for more info, aka the packet in the mail, before registering? It just said congrats and not much more. “Welcome to the Gator Nation.” ;)
