Just in case any of you are still waiting for the acceptance letter in the mail, I called because I still hadn’t received mine for 2 weeks and they informed me that there were some that were “lost in the mail” and that they’ll be resending them.

Hey guys congrats to all who got accepted into UF for spring! I am a current student at FSU and have decided that i would be happier at UF. I will not have enough credits until the end of next fall and will be applying for Spring semester 2011! I am a Bio major which i know is super competitive. I was wondering if anyone would have any advice for me as far as whether or not i should go to Santa Fe next fall so i would be transferring from there instead of FSU. Which would increase my chances most???

thanks for the advice

to jwy09,
I recommend going to Santa Fe. I don’t know what year you are… but you need at least 15 credits from Santa Fe to graduate from there. And that’s what I did. I originally went to UNF, and decided to transfer to Santa Fe because students from a community college get top priority with transfers at UF. And I wanna say that Santa Fe is a feeder school to UF, but that’s not really the case now, I think, since they’ve cut back on admissions and all. I hope that helped.

completely random…but my roomate just got accepted too… mechanical engineering for him

Hi all, I have a friend she just graduated from high school and is going to start going to santa fe cc for fall term and wnts to transfer to UF her spring term. is that possible. if she does really well at santa fe has a great gpa and does volunteer work and all that what would she have to do to get in the spring term. or is it just for AA degree ppl that r able to transfer to UF from santa fe successfully. please let me know

Your friend would need to get an AA or 60 credits before being able to transfer to UF.

I was wondering if it is worth taking a shot at UF as a transfer, I have always wanted to attend UF.

I am a URM with about a 3.5 from UCF with over 60 credit hours. This is in Molec and Microbio but I have just recently made a big switch to criminology and law.

I am the treasurer of American Red Cross @ UCF, a student research assistant in a stem cell lab, and my fraternity pclass president. I also compete in martial arts and track competitions.

Do I have a decent shot?
