Based on the new US News and World Report Ratings, University of Miami moved up to being the number 54th best school in the country, which is tied with University of Maryland. This certainly was predictable. I will bet that within the next four years, it will be within the top 50.

For a private university they have a very small endowment. It is possible that they become a first tier, but I doubt it.

JJ...you are certainly entitled to your opinion. But, you do need to find out the facts. UM's Momentum campaign may be a little eye-opening for you. 1 Billion, yes...that's Billion......was raised early and has just been upped again....by another 200-some Million.... Not small potato's by any means............

Your 1 Billion plus campaign doesn't just go toward your endowment fund. Also for you guys to jump to the next bracket you will be up against Case, Boston College, and Rochester. All of these privates have way over the 1 billion dollar endowment mark. According to US News you guys only have half a billion. Besides do you think that these other Privates are going to be stagnant???
