soo i know this is a bit late, but i applied to University of Florida and University of Miami as premed. If I wanted to go to a really good medical school, like UChicago's or UCSF's, will going to one of those schools, along with a lot of volunteering and internships and such be enough to get into one of those med schools, or should I look into applying to an OOS school like UChicago or Berkeley? Im almost positive i can get into UF's honor college, where ill be able to travel abroad and do research, etc, so that might strengthen my app for med school. I think i could get into NYU, and maybe UChicago or Berkeley, its just that they are reallly expensive, and Ill be going to UF for virtually nothing, which means less strain on my parents. Tell me what i should do...

Oh and ive heard that UF is declining in how it is viewed throughout the country, which would make it harder to get into a top med school, right?

No. The primary criteria to get into med school are GPA and MCAT scores. Going to UF or Miami will not hurt you there.
