Hi, I am from NY. The two schools I'm considering is UF and Georgia Tech. I plan on being a mechanical engineering major or something of that sort in the engineering field. I was accepted into UF with a 32k scholarship to make it more affordable. I was wait listed into Georgia Tech. I'm trying to decide between the two schools. I like Georgia Tech's location (city) but I hear that the curve for classes make it so much harder to get a good grade. I also hear there are no women at GT but wouldn't the fact that GT is in a city nullify that? Also, I want to know how realistic it is that I may get in off of Georgia Tech's wait list. A counselor at Georgia Tech said that some years they accept no one of the wait list and sometimes they accept a couple hundred. This year there is a wait-list size of 1700. I have 90's grades and am in AP classes. However on my SAT I got CR:620 M:650 and W:600. Please help me make a decision just in case I do get in to GT. UF stands for University of Florida.

Also I have a lot of Extra Curricular and in Honor Society. And my parents said anything more than the cost of a state school will mean loans for me that I will need to pay off after school.
