I am having a really difficult time deciding between these two schools for my undergraduate education. My ultimate goal for college is to attend a well-renowned medical school (Yale, Johns Hopkins, etc.) but I don't know how realistic that is or which school will give me the better opportunity to achieve this. I'm basing the decision mostly upon an academic standpoint, but there are convenience issues. If I attend UM, I will be living at home and commuting from about 45 minutes away, without traffic. At UF I would live on campus. Money is not a concern, as I can attend both for relatively the same price (due to scholarships)

I would go to UF. Living on campus offers huge benefits in terms of accessing research, participating in study groups/ going to office hours, availability for on campus jobs, participating in other extra curriculars, and social life.

That makes a lot of sense. Do students from UF generally get accepted into upper-level med programs? Is there anywhere to find this information out?

That was helpful cx and it makes sense as well. Thank you!
