UF vs USF- Chemical Engineering

I've narrowed down my choices to these two schools, and while I realize I'm the only one who can make the best decision for me on where to go as a chemical engineering. I plan on going to graduate school when I'm done with my BS, but I would like to keep an industry job open as an option. Here are the pros and cons of each school as I see it:

UF: Pros- Top 25ish ChemE program, highly ranked 5 year masters, high level of research activity, better academic school overall
Cons- More expensive, I don't really like the honors program, probably wouldn't get to research until late in my second year, tougher competition from my classmates

USF: Pros- Great honors program (and honors dorms), $22,000 scholarship, paid research guaranteed from my 2nd semester on (through a Research Scholars program I am eligible for)
Cons- Less prestige overall, engineering program unranked

I can afford both colleges, but I get to keep the extra 22,000 if I go to USF. Any input would be appreciated

Thats a tuff one. Do you value the name of your degree, prestige, or how much money you can save for your education?

If you want to stay in Florida I would say take the money and attend USF. UF has more reach if you want jobs outside the region. But with a masters and lots of research under your belt, I doubt it will matter.

But UF is def worth more than a 22k scholarship at USF
