UF vs USF

Well i got accepted to both and plan to major in architecture. The only difference is that USF is offering around 20k for the first two years and UF hasn’t. Which school would you choose in my case? I feel like UF has better reputation but 20k is a lot… pros cons?

Have you considered where you might like to live more?
There is a huge difference between Tampa and G-ville that you need to consider, i think that will be a big part of your decision. To be honest I usually advise people to go where they are getting money because that is an important factor, bit in this case you need to think about more.

USF has a big commuter population. It is located in a part of Tampa that is full of activity but is pretty spread out. While the campus is bike friendly to get around the surrounding area you will need a car. it is not the loveliest part of Tampa by any means. The city is super spread out.

G-ville though is smaller. The campus is located in the heart of the city. It seems like most of the city is really bike friendly as well as student friendly. I was at a a walmart there once at midnight and it was full of college kids getting supplies.

Sorry, don’t know if architecture is connected in any way with the art department-but do know that USF is stingy with theirs(arts)

USF isn’t entirely stingy with its arts programs; USF just opened last year its $47 million new music building on campus.
