I was working on the admissions essay and the website claims there is a 500 world limit along with a 3885 character limit. So, is it possible to exceed the word limit but stay within the character limit? Thanks.

apparently everyone has been asking this sort of question to admissions people at UF. they came to my school last week and someone asked this question and they said they probably needed to change that bc of all the confusion it has created but that they weren’t going to penalize you if your essay was say 700 words. As long as you stay within the character limit you should be fine-going anywhere beyond the character limit means part of your essay will be cut off.

Thanks! It is kind of confusing.
