The UF Common Data set has the following statement on the page "Note: Florida public high school students graduating in the top 5% and completing the college preparatory curriculum are guaranteed admission to UF."

Does anyone know if they're referring to the top 5% of all applicants or each student in the top 5% of each graduating class in Florida?

It would be nice to be guaranteed admission. Thanks!

this isnt in affect anymore, they took it away this past year. it used to be where if you are in the top 5% of your graduating class in a Florida public school, you gained admissions automatically. i dont think it is in effect anymore because i asked an admission officer and he said NOONE is guaranteed admssion. hen again, he could have just been saying that so ppl wouldnt think oh im in top 5 im gonna get in u know?

I could've sworn that's still in effect. Did you talk to an admissions officer, or did you just call and talk to whoever picked up? I don't trust those people with information cuz they often know nothing compared to real admissions officer.
