How are the following schools as far as undergrad business recruiting:

University of Florida
University of Miami
University of Texas- Austin
West Virginia University
UNC- Chapel Hill
Pitt
Syracuse
UCLA
Purdue
Ohio State

Who would you consider the top few from the list? THANKS

accounting finance or marketing not really sure yet i will be transferring in the fall and im trying to figure out where the best recruiting happens besides the obvious stern and wharton...THANKS

The only sure-fire recruiting campuses are Berkeley, MIT, Michigan, Wharton, and Stern (and maybe UT-Austin). The others may have job fairs but they are not main targets for top firms.

i am currently at Monroe Community College in upstate NY, i will be graduating in the spring with my associates. i want to go to a main target school for top firms, that would be my dream. wharton and stern are pretty much out of my league i think. are those six the only top schools?? i had made list if you would be willing to look at it?

Lol, UT Austin better than UNC???? No way. Never. I highly recommend UNC, its not as hard to transfer there and the business school does get looks from top firms. If you want business your best bet is to go to a top 10-15 school and major in almost anything or go to a top 10 undergrad business. UNC (business school) is hands down tops on your list, followed by UCLA (non business major), and Texas (business school).

I meant not as hard to get in as a transfer to UNC as opposed to being a first year. First year OOS is incredibly selective due to a quota (82% have to be in-state), but the quota is dropped for transfers.

You are way off-base. While you might think I'm biased, the numbers don't lie. UT-Austin and UNC's business schools are both ranked #5 for undergraduate programs by USNWR. I suppose both are better for their region (getting a job after in that state, etc.). I have seen McCombs rated higher than Kenan-Flagler in other rankings, however.

So do Harvard and Purdue. Its not about salary, its about long term reputation. UNC has firms like Bain on campus which never set foot on Purdue's campus. Also as a person familiar with overall consulting and bankinf recruiting as well as MBA admissions, UNC is far ahead.

Nowhere did the OP say he wanted consulting or IB for starters. You get to work 80 hours a week and abused daily.
How many ugs does Bain hire at UNC per year? I can tell you it's fewer than 3 if any. Same for most of the major IB's.
